The surface mount PPTC (polymer positive temperature coefficient) device provides over-current protection for applications requiring ultra-low internal resistance, ultra-low voltage drop and automatic reset protection. The new series supports the creation of smaller, lower height and higher holding current devices than standard PPTC. It has ultra-low internal resistance and continues the high-level electrical characteristics and performance of standard PPTC products. All devices have passed UL certification and TUV approval, and the maximum fault current is 50A. Available in sizes 0402 to 2920, the holding current ranges from 100mA to 9A.
